Cláudio Laks Eizirik from Porto Alegre was CAPSA-funded to travel to Belgrade, Serbia

“Cláudio supervised presentations by Candidates and led a supervisory group of Members. He also presented two papers before speaking at an Outreach event targeting allied professions, celebrating 100 years of the IPA at the Cinematheque Museum. The event was very well attended, and the Cinematheque packed. There were more than 200 participants, mostly psychotherapists of various orientations, and students.”

Catherine Chabert from France visited the Córdoba Psychoanalytic Association, Argentina

Activities included a lecture at a university to students of psychology and psychiatry and small-group activities with Members and Candidates. We were very pleased with the outcome of her visit and the generosity she had sharing her practice and knowledge.”

“In Fortaleza nearly 400 participants (not only IPA Members but other psychoanalysts, psychotherapists and psychology students) were attracted by a three-day seminar ‘Seven Clinical Cases’. 

All clinical cases – each of two hours length – were read in Portuguese with the presentation of material in PowerPoint so that participants could follow in detail the history and clinical sessions in each case. In parallel, there was simultaneous interpretation (also funded by CAPSA) of all the material, which very much helped to achieve a flowing and lively interchange between participants and guests.”
