New presentation shows empirical support for psychoanalytic treatment

A freely-available PowerPoint presentation ‘The Enduring Significance of Psychoanalytic Theory and Practice’ summarises the main evidence-base for the efficacy of psychoanalytic treatment and addresses some of the common questions about psychoanalaysis.

 

The presentation, written by Gregory Lowder (New York Psychoanalytic Institute), James Hansell (University of Michigan) and Nancy McWilliams (Rutgers University), came out of work directed by the American Psychoanalytic Assocation (APsaA) and funded by the IPA under its DPPT scheme.

 

The PowerPoint presentation is part of an IPA funded project by the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA) and offered here as a free resource to all members.
