Funds now available for 2011
The IPA’s popular CAPSA Programme, which aims to promote the inter-regional exchange of ideas about psychoanalytic practice, is continuing in 2011 to offer funds to IPA Societies and Groups.
CAPSA works by considering proposals to invite an analyst or analysts from another IPA Region to speak about their practice or to offer supervision to local analysts. Accepted proposals provide for the travelling expenses of one or two invited IPA Member analysts. The programme also provides up to $1,000 per event for translation.
The scheme has funded over 100 applications since it began from the three IPA regions. We are delighted that this year $40,000 – more than last year - has been set aside to continue to fund this vital initiative.
Applications are dealt with in the order in which they are received. Once available funds have been exhausted for 2011, no further applications will be considered.
If you are interested in inviting a colleague to visit your country as part of the CAPSA programme, please contact the relevant senior members of your Society or Group, as they will be able to help you in making the application.
