Request for Proposals for Research on Distance (Remote) Psychoanalysis

Various forms of distance (remote)  psychoanalysis using such means as Skype, telephone, and internet conferencing software have become increasingly popular as a means to bring psychoanalysis to areas where there are few or no psychoanalysts.  The IPA wishes to support research about this emerging clinical field.

Proposals for Research in this area are invited.

The proposal should describe the questions it intends to address, the reasons these questions are psychoanalytically significant, the methodology of the research, a timeline for the research, the personnel involved, available institutional support, and the institution that will be responsible  for holding and distributing the funds. The proposal should include a budget (in U.S. dollars) and curriculum vitae  of all researchers. It must be submitted in English. The description of research must not be longer than 15 single spaced pages.

Proposals are welcome from IPA members and non-members.  To be considered they must be submitted no later than March 30, 2013.
